Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis’s Gephardt Institute seeks a Programming and Outreach Specialist to lead educational, engagement, and outreach initiatives for undergraduate and graduate students, advancing civic learning and community involvement.

The role emphasizes project management, campus partnerships, digital engagement, and ensuring equity and nonpartisanship while expanding visibility of programs like The Longest Table and Civic Café.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Relevant Experience (3 Years) preferred in higher education or civic engagement.
• No specific certification/professional license required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary programmatic staff for signature Gephardt Institute programs and other Institute events.
• Manages program planning from ideation through execution and evaluation.
• Coordinates outreach and engagement efforts to ensure visibility and reach across the student body.
• Oversees outreach strategies that reach students digitally via social media and email marketing.
• Coordinates campus partner engagement events, admissions visits, and related activities.
• Contributes to initiatives and events with Gephardt Institute staff and stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
