Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Civic Engagement Manager to lead voter registration, education, and turnout strategies for undergraduate and graduate students.

You will coordinate the WashU Votes Campus Network, develop programs, and supervise student teams to advance nonpartisan civic participation. You will collaborate with the Gephardt Institute’s Engage Democracy team, campus partners, and external organizations to expand year-round civic engagement and education initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles in civic engagement and policy.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of data-informed voter registration, education, and turnout strategy for the Washington University student community.
• Coordinates WashU Votes Campus Network and related student committees to ensure compliance with university policies and voting regulations.
• Develops campus programming and communications to encourage voter registration and education.
• Manages TurboVote and other engagement platforms for registration reminders.
• Advises WashU Votes student leaders and coordinates peer outreach with campus-wide strategy.
• Collaborates with Marketing & Communications to develop robust online presence and print materials.
• Writes social media copy for voting-related materials.
• Coordinates with national partners to align resources and practices.
• Supervises graduate assistants and student interns.
