Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years' automotive maintenance experience OR enrollment in vocational/technical automotive program preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues on cars and heavy equipment.
• Inspects, services, and repairs engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Identifies faults and determines repair solutions.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts to restore function.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Uses diagnostic tools, manuals, and specialized equipment to guide work.
• Ensures vehicles and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
• Maintains shop inventory and retrieves parts from vendors.
• Cleans and maintains the shop and supplies for the welding area.
• Performs other duties as needed.
