Job summary

Anchor Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate trucks used in construction, maintenance, and repair activities and to perform a variety of semiskilled tasks maintaining underground utilities.

You will work in urban settings and must follow OSHA safety policies, inspect equipment, and coordinate with foremen and supervisors. Experience with excavators, backhoes, and skid steer loaders is required, with willingness to travel between sites.

Qualifications

Experience operating excavators, backhoes and skid steer loaders
Ability to navigate equipment in city environments and around utilities
Maintain and follow all safety requirements and OSHA regulations
Ability to follow basic instructions in English
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to travel to various work locations including outside the region
Must inspect equipment prior to start and perform greasing as required
Must be willing to drive rubber-tired equipment between sites

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA, state regulations, and safety policies
Report safety hazards to foreman or supervisor
Operate excavators, backhoes and skid steer loaders in construction settings
Navigate equipment within city confines around utilities
Safely operate equipment using all features and functions
Be a team player
May assist Foreman with assignments on site
Inspect equipment daily and fill out daily equipment log
