VISTA Team Leaders brings passion and guidance to the City of Lancaster VISTA program. The Team Leader will be in the unique position of managing a citywide VISTA program with VISTA members serving in 10 departments throughout the City of Lancaster Government. This position will require an innovative, motivated problem solver who has excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. To be successful in this role, you must be skilled at relationship building, able to work in diverse teams, and committed to improving the lives of others through national service. - 18 years old - US Citizens, nationals, or legal residents - Successfully complete a criminal background check. - VISTA is a full-time commitment - Political advocacy, organizing or demonstrating while on VISTA duty, or while perceived to be on duty, is prohibited - Permits part-time employment and attendance at school during off hour

Member Duties : Recruitment - Assist in the screening, interviewing, and selection process for VISTA candidates, providing a welcoming and supportive candidate experience Training & Mentoring - Facilitate information sharing and peer learning, and develop/coordinate appropriate trainings for VISTA members - Conduct regular peer mentoring sessions, providing positive support, coaching, and constructive feedback - Assist in planning and facilitating new VISTA onboarding training - Solicit in-kind donations to support VISTA trainings and team building Program Support & Sustainability - Assist in monitoring and tracking VISTA member progress towards VAD activities - Collect stories that demonstrate program impact - Create a sustainable system to transfer program specific knowledge to other VISTAs and program staff - Coordinate volunteer recruitment and recognition activities - Assist with program outcome evaluation and complete monthly activity reports
