City of Golden, CO invites applications for the City Manager role to lead a high‑performing team delivering essential public services. The City Manager will develop and manage the annual budget, implement the Strategic Action Plan, and serve as the primary liaison among City Council, staff, and external partners, ensuring transparent, data‑driven decisions for the community.

Residency within Golden is required; relocation may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of leadership experience.
• Graduate degree in public administration preferred.
• Strong management experience in finance, public safety, infrastructure, and employee relations.

Responsabilités

• Develops and manages the City’s annual budget in accordance with City Council directives.
• Executes the goals and deliverables in City Council’s Strategic Action Plan.
• Ensures resolution of inquiries or complaints of city services in a timely manner.
• Identifies challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement of city services.
• Serves as liaison between the City of Golden and other cities and outside agencies.
• Monitors and evaluates the City’s organizational structure and employee satisfaction.
• Carries out additional duties listed in Chapter VII of the City Charter.
