The City of Kennesaw is seeking an ethical, approachable, and community‑oriented City Manager to lead a growing, redevelopment‑focused city. You will oversee daily operations, direct department heads, and ensure fiscal responsibility while implementing Council policies and a shared vision for sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of executive local government experience (city/county manager or equivalent) and preferably an ICMA Credentialed Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration/Management, Urban Planning or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Evidence of continued professional development, such as ICMA Credentialed Manager designation, is a positive indicator.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations and department heads as chief executive officer of the City.
• Provide fiscal stewardship and implement policy with Mayor and Council.
• Lead the transition from traditional suburban development to a mature, redeveloped city with sustainable growth.
