The next City Manager will oversee a full-service municipal organization that operates its own water and power utility and one of only three city-based public health departments in California. The position oversees an annual operating and capital budget of approximately $1.5 billion and a dedicated staff of about 2,200. The City Manager will work in partnership with an experienced City Council and serve an engaged and diverse community of approximately 140,000 residents.
In addition to leading the municipal organization, the City Manager will help guide the City-owned Rose Bowl Stadium, the Pasadena Convention Center and Visitors Bureau, and Pasadena Media. The ideal candidate will bring considerable executive leadership experience, strong communication and relationship-building skills, sound fiscal and political judgment, and the ability to think creatively about complex challenges.

The salary range for this position is $380,000 to $425,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The City of Pasadena also offers a competitive benefits package.
