Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a candidate to oversee city delivery service coordination and manage delivery schedules for hub and spoke stores. The ideal candidate will maintain communication with delivery specialists, manage order accuracy, and monitor hub efficiencies.

This role includes additional responsibilities such as ensuring team members adhere to company policies and maintaining vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate city route schedules for hub and spoke stores.
• Serve as the contact person for city delivery service.
• Receive and prepare orders for delivery by scheduled time.
• Ensure accuracy of orders before delivery.
• Maintain clean and organized delivery area.
• Monitor hub systems for efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure team members clock in and out according to policy.
• Research undelivered parts and make billing adjustments.
• Cover routes in absence of the delivery specialist.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance and inspections are completed.
• Provide performance input on delivery specialists.

Job description

To coordinate and oversee city route schedule, functions, and delivery specialists of "hub" store to "spoke" stores.

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as contact person for city delivery service.
• Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice, ensure parts are pulled and ready for delivery by scheduled time.
• Ensure accuracy of each order pulled prior to city delivery specialist picking up order for delivery.
• Maintain organized, clean city delivery area divided into areas/bins for each spoke store.
• Ensure hub delivery specialists are running on schedule and/or communicate any delays to stores remaining on route.
• Continually monitor hub system and routes for ways to increase efficiency, productivity, and/or reduce expenses. Communicate recommendations to store manager.
• Make sure all team members assigned to hub are clocking in and out according to company policy.
• Research any parts not delivered as scheduled and make any necessary billing adjustments.
• Work with store manager to ensure route is covered in the absence of regular city delivery specialist.
• Work with store manager and delivery specialist to ensure vehicles are well maintained and inspections are completed thoroughly and accurately. Ensure daily mileage is logged into asset management for all vehicles.
• Provide input to store manager with regard to delivery specialists’ performance in preparation for performance evaluations.
