Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Austin, TX is seeking a City Delivery Specialist to pull, package, and deliver automotive parts to stores on schedule. You will verify accuracy, maintain the delivery area, and monitor hub operations to improve efficiency.

You will also coordinate with store managers, ensure vehicle maintenance and log daily mileage, and support performance evaluations with delivery personnel. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as contact person for city delivery service and ensure timely delivery
• Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice and prepare order for delivery
• Verify accuracy of each order before delivery personnel pick up
• Maintain organized city delivery area divided into bins for each spoke store
• Monitor hub routes for efficiency and communicate delays to stores on route
• Ensure all hub team members clock in and out per policy
• Research undelivered parts and adjust billing when needed
• Coordinate with store manager to cover routes in absence of regular driver
• Ensure vehicles are well maintained, inspected, and mileage logged
• Provide input on driver performance for evaluations

Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Serve as contact person for city delivery service.

Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice, ensure parts are pulled and ready for delivery by scheduled time.

Ensure accuracy of each order pulled prior to city delivery specialist picking up order for delivery.

Maintain organized, clean city delivery area divided into areas/bins for each spoke store.

Ensure hub delivery specialists are running on schedule and/or communicate any delays to stores remaining on route.

Continually monitor hub system and routes for ways to increase efficiency, productivity, and/or reduce expenses.Communicate recommendations to store manager.

Make sure all team members assigned to hub are clocking in and out according to company policy.

Research any parts not delivered as scheduled and make any necessary billing adjustments.

Work with store manager to ensure route is covered in the absence of regular city delivery specialist.

Work with store manager and delivery specialist to ensure vehicles are well maintained and inspections are completed thoroughly and accurately. Ensure daily mileage is logged into asset management for all vehicles.

Provide input to store manager with regard to delivery specialists’ performance in preparation for performance evaluations.
