Job summary

SuperDebate, founded in Chicago, seeks a City Ambassador to own and grow the local community, host events, recruit members, and build the city’s reputation for thoughtful public discourse.

You will partner with local venues and sponsors, coordinate monthly debates, and feed insights back to HQ to inform the national playbook.

SuperDebate started in Chicago. Now we need someone to own it. Build the community, host the events, make it legendary. Revenue share, stipends, and equity.

The Vision

Chicago is where SuperDebate was born. The city has a deep tradition of public debate, civic engagement, and intellectual community, from the Chicago school of economics to improv comedy. This city knows how to think on its feet.

We need someone to turn that energy into something real. As the Chicago City Ambassador, you own the local SuperDebate community. You host the events. You recruit the members. You make Chicago the model every other city follows.

Why Chicago

Major universities, a massive young professional population, and a civic culture that actually values argument. The bar and venue scene is built for community events. Neighborhoods have real identity.

And unlike the coasts, intellectual community here does not feel exclusive or pretentious. Chicago debates are for everyone. That is exactly the energy we want.

What You Will Do

• Host at least one live debate event per month
• Recruit members through local outreach and word of mouth
• Build sponsorship relationships with local businesses
• Represent SuperDebate at community events and meetups
• Share feedback and help shape the national playbook

The Deal

• Revenue share on all events and memberships in your city
• Monthly stipends once you hit activity milestones
• Equity track for ambassadors who commit long-term (12+ months)
• Founding ambassador status with permanent recognition
• Full support from HQ: playbooks, marketing, and direct founder access
