The role involves deploying and troubleshooting Citrix systems, maintaining server performance, and collaborating with the Windows team. GovCIO is currently hiring for a Citrix Administrator to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support servers for a mixed customer environment. This position will be located in Radford, VA and will be a remote position.
This position is for a Senior Citrix Administrator supporting the Windows team in a mixed and growing environment of Windows 2019 and Windows 2022. The role involves working with the existing Windows team to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support servers for a mixed customer environment. You will plan, execute, and implement new system hardware and software, and create and maintain team technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies as needed. You will monitor and tune system performance, ensure ongoing operation of the servers, harden the servers, and report the overall security and operational status. You will also recommend improvements to the enterprise and manage new software/hardware integrations as required, while providing utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions. Strong communication and teamwork are essential. The position supports the lifecycle of a mixed environment of vendor equipment in the datacenter, including firmware version control and periodic preventive maintenance. You will also be expected to recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies in the current environment.
High School diploma with 6 - 9 years of relevant experience, or commensurate experience.
