Job description

Duties and Responsibilities :

Under the supervision of the head of Investment Management Oversight for Citi Trust NAM, the Investment Analyst will help oversee discretionary investments in Trust accounts, monitor investment activity, and resolve investment risks and exceptions. This is a risk management role and involves significant report preparation and tracking activity. It is not a portfolio manager or investment advisor role and is not client-facing. The responsibilities of the position may include the following:
  • Prepare and/or review daily, monthly, and quarterly business and operational reports for committees, including maintaining grid of report deliverables, scheduling committee meetings and participants, preparing meeting minutes, and maintaining files and documents for audit tracking
  • Review approved investment activity daily to confirm completion of changes
  • Prepare various monthly and quarterly reports for management and Board of Directors
  • Identify and escalate risk items in accordance with the Trust Risk Policy
  • Monitor and research daily asset allocation and restriction alerts to ensure that violations are resolved
  • Enter/review/approve mutual fund, ETF, stock, and bond trade orders
  • Research and respond to inquiries from trust officers and investment counselors on investment-related matters
  • Assist with due diligence of investment managers, performance review and attribution, and ongoing account monitoring
  • Gather materials needed to respond to requests from the OCC, Internal Audit, and internal partners (Compliance, Investment Risk, Operations, etc.)
  • Maintain monthly group vacation calendar
General Requirements:

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
Knowledge / Abilities:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry. Knowledge of trust/fiduciary administration, portfolio management experience, or experience in Risk, Internal Audit or Compliance a plus.
  • Familiarity with investment vehicles (stocks, bonds, alternative and derivative investments)
  • Excellent PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Bloomberg is preferred. Knowledge of computational language such as Python preferred but not required.
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate, and use sound reasoning and judgment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in or increase in job requirements.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic aptitudes, with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Knowledge of Fi-Tek, Charles River, Pershing/Lockwood and business object reports preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented and able to cultivate and leverage relationships across global teams.
  • No travel required.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
