The Associate - Asset Based Finance Origination assists Senior Transactors in originating, structuring, and executing debt solutions for our Commercial Banking Clients. Based in New York, the ideal candidate will:

• Support new asset-based deal opportunities with an analysis of capital structure, borrowing base, credit profile, market comparables, and industry research
• Develop targeted prospecting lists; join Senior Transactors in client and prospect meetings to develop and sustain enduring relationships
• Assist in the creation of pitch materials; screen opportunities; propose appropriate structures; work alongside Underwriting to green light transactions; draft and negotiate term sheets with clients (interfacing with legal counsel); work with underwriting partners to help shepherd internal approvals; negotiate legal documentation and manage an efficient closing process
• Interface with banker coverage and other partners to coordinate execution of transactions and to effectively meet deal timelines
• Exhibit business and credit judgment as well to provide balanced assessments in working with internal team members and partners
• Maintain a strong attention to detail and complete work in assigned timeframes.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Asset Based Finance
• Required Licensing/Registration: Series 79 & 63
• Bachelor's degree
