What you can expect as a Team Lead, Aircraft Maintenance Technician:

The Team Lead supervises a team and directs project flow. This role requires extensive knowledge of engine and aircraft systems, troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and supervising aircraft or mechanical system inspections. Responsibilities vary daily and include projects coordinated with the Program Manager. The role involves working independently, leading multiple projects, direct customer contact, and supervising programs and sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and guide technicians, foster a positive environment, participate in hiring and disciplinary actions, conduct performance assessments, and serve as a potential successor to the Program or Project Manager.
  • Program Operations: Oversee technician schedules, support aircraft deliveries, review time charges, coordinate manpower and resources, and ensure project goals are met.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to aviation regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct audits and inspections to maintain high service standards.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate training programs to enhance team skills.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement workflow and efficiency enhancements.
  • Resource Management: Maintain tools, equipment, and hangar spaces, addressing needs promptly.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Keep accurate records of activities, work orders, forms, and reports.
  • Effective communication in English is required.
