Job summary

flyADVANCED is seeking an experienced CJ3 Second in Command (SIC) to join our flight operations team based at William P. Hobby Airport (KHOU) in Houston, Texas.

The Pilot is responsible for providing a safe, professional, and exceptional air transportation experience for every flyADVANCED Owner and passenger. This Houston-based position requires residency within ~2 hours of KHOU or relocation, and offers a dynamic schedule with potential weekends and overnights.

Qualifications

• Commercial pilot certificate with multi-engine land rating.
• Second Class Medical or higher.
• Approximately 1,000+ hours total flight time.
• CJ3/CE-525 experience strongly preferred.
• Part 135 and/or Part 91 business aviation experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the CJ3 in accordance with company procedures, FAA regulations, and applicable Part 91/135 requirements.
• Assist the Pilot in Command with all phases of flight operations.
• Complete required preflight and postflight duties.
• Maintain situational awareness, professionalism, and crew coordination.
• Provide exceptional customer service to aircraft owners and passengers.
• Assist with passenger needs, baggage, catering, and other trip-related responsibilities.
• Maintain aircraft cleanliness, organization, and professional presentation.
• Coordinate with flight operations, maintenance, and other departments.
• Maintain required certificates, medical qualifications, training, and currency.
• Represent flyADVANCED professionally on and off the aircraft.
• Perform additional duties for safe and successful trip completion.

Job description

flyADVANCED is seeking an experienced CJ3 Second in Command (SIC) to join our flight operations team based at William P. Hobby Airport (KHOU) in Houston, Texas.

The Pilot is responsible for providing a safe, professional, and exceptional air transportation experience for every flyADVANCED Owner and passenger. Our pilots represent flyADVANCED both in and out of the aircraft and are expected to maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism, customer service, and aircraft care.

This position requires flexibility and a service-oriented mindset. In addition to operating the aircraft safely and professionally, our pilots provide a concierge-level experience and work closely with passengers, aircraft owners, crew members, and the flyADVANCED operations team.

This is a Houston-based position. Candidates must currently reside within approximately two hours of KHOU or be willing to relocate to the Houston area to meet operational requirements.

• Perform additional duties associated with the safe and successful completion of each trip

Qualifications / Skills

• Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Land Rating
• Current Second Class Medical or higher
• Approximately 1,000+ hours total flight time
• CJ3 / CE-525 experience strongly preferred
• Recent and current flight experience
• Part 135 and/or Part 91 business aviation experience preferred
• Strong crew resource management and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor
• Valid passport with no travel restrictions
• Eligible to obtain CANPASS
• Must successfully complete required drug screening
• Must meet applicable company, FAA, and insurance requirements
• Must reside within approximately two hours of KHOU or be willing to relocate to meet this requirement
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overnights, and changing trip schedules

Preferred Experience

• Part 135 operating experience
