What to Expect as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Whether replacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems, or performing inspections on some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft in the world, no day is the same. Each day offers new experiences and opportunities for growth.

Your Responsibilities
  • Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
  • Remove and install panels and components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system/component issues.
  • De-fuel aircraft.
  • Remove and install engines.
  • Operate ground support equipment.
  • Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
  • Assist with aircraft movement and performance runs/taxiing.
  • Maintain shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
  • Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. An Airframe and Powerplant License is mandatory. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is preferred but not required.

Self-motivated team players capable of performing under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation is essential. Must adhere to FAA guidelines and safety rules, maintain customer-oriented work habits, and attend work as scheduled, including overtime and weekends.
