Job summary

State of Alaska in Anchorage/Juneau seeks a Program Coordinator 1 (CSIM Coordinator) to plan, coordinate, and oversee the statewide Critical Incident Stress Management and Peer Support programs for Department employees. The role involves wellness education and occasional incident reviews.

The position is advertised in both Anchorage and Juneau with final placement based on candidate location; travel to duties may be required across sites.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in analytical thinking, problem solving, and program coordination.
• Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations and guidance.
• Makes sound decisions, perceives impact, and coordinates with others to accomplish organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, implement and oversee statewide Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)/Peer Support Program for Department employees.
• Oversee a portion of the wellness block at the Academy related to CISM/PS education.
• Assist with duties related to critical incident reviews on an as needed basis.
