Job summary

USRA and the Science and Technology Institute seek a full-time Aerospace Engineer or Scientist to support advanced research and analysis in orbital dynamics and numerical simulations in cislunar space.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years with a Master or 3+ years with a PhD in orbital mechanics, flight dynamics, orbital evolution modeling or similar.
• MS/PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Planetary Sciences or related field.
• TS/SCI security clearance required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced research and analyses related to orbital dynamics and numerical simulations in cislunar space.
• Develop models and run large-scale simulations; contribute to space sustainability and risk mitigation.
• Prepare technical documentation and publish results in peer-reviewed venues.
