Who You’ll Work With

The WW Cisco Spaces Specialist team is seeking a senior, highly motivated Solutions Engineer (SE) with strong business and technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering value through digital transformation. In this role, you will be part of the Networking Incubation Sales team, responsible for technical sales to meet and exceed quotas. Your tasks will include planning sales strategies with Account Executives, driving proof of value tests (POV), designing solutions, delivering presentations, and closing deals.

You should contribute positively to an encouraging team culture.


What You’ll Do

As a Solutions Engineer within the Networking Incubation organization, you will be a subject matter expert on Cisco Spaces. Your responsibilities include developing business plans to exceed quotas, impacting multiple business units, customers, and partners to transform buildings into smart spaces.


  • Deeply understand product capabilities, value propositions, and market trends in smart buildings/real estate; present and demo solutions to stakeholders at various levels using outcomes-based selling methodologies.
  • Conduct product demos and POVs/POCs, from initial scope to technical closure, and improve these processes with clear success metrics.
  • Help the account team understand new Spaces capabilities and support sales expansion.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies with teams.
  • Build relationships with business and technical decision-makers.
  • Target and win strategic, high-value opportunities, owning the process to close Spaces revenue.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and leverage Cisco resources to scale efforts.
  • Use Cisco Spaces as a differentiator to grow market share in networking and collaboration.
  • Work with engineering to develop standard processes and craft value propositions across architectures.
  • Promote Cisco Spaces through blogs, social media, and industry events.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the networking industry
  • Strong knowledge of real estate, smart buildings, IoT, sustainability, hybrid work, and location-based services
  • Understanding of relevant markets, trends, and technologies (Wi-Fi, BLE, Switching, APIs, cloud networks)
  • Technical experience with Cisco products, especially Meraki MV/MT
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Experience with complex sales cycles and accelerating sales processes
  • Ability to lead stakeholder relationships and build support within matrix organizations
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a straightforward approach

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant Cisco and non-Cisco certifications
  • Proficiency in English; French or German skills are a plus
