Job summary

Gr8ttek, LLC in Longview, WA seeks Network Engineer/Technician with hands-on Cisco experience to support enterprise infrastructure for a major healthcare organization. You will configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have practical experience with BGP and OSPF, LAN/WAN, VLANs, and SD-WAN, and can work independently while collaborating with senior engineers. This is a six-month contract-to-hire opportunity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise Cisco networking environments.
• Ability to configure routers and switches, not just install.
• Knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and Layer 2/3 networking.
• Experience diagnosing network connectivity and performance problems.
• Familiarity with enterprise wireless networking.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment.
• Perform hands-on configuration of enterprise routers and switches.
• Support BGP and OSPF routing configurations and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN connectivity issues.
• Configure and support VLANs, trunking, routing, and switching technologies.
• Diagnose network outages, connectivity issues, latency, and performance problems.
• Support enterprise wireless access points and controllers.
• Perform network equipment upgrades, configuration changes, and maintenance.
• Monitor network performance and respond to technical incidents.
• Assist senior network engineers with infrastructure improvements and deployments.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and equipment records.
• Provide secondary desktop and laptop support when needed.
• Participate in on-call support as required.
