Allied Consultants, Inc. in Austin is seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to support the agency's network operations, security and maintenance. The role involves configuring and monitoring core to remote network equipment and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Ideal candidates have 8 years of enterprise networking experience, Cisco tool expertise, and strong communication skills. CCNA/CCDA/CCNP are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in large enterprise networks.
• Experience implementing, upgrading and maintaining Cisco products.
• Planning, designing and implementing LAN/WAN.
• Monitoring network infrastructure.
• Performing ongoing maintenance and problem resolution.
• Use of SecureCRT and Cisco CLI.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the agency's network operations, security, maintenance.
• Collaborate with other agency departments and external organizations to provide secure network solutions.
• Respond to remote site circuit outages and router/switch/firewall issues.
• Configure and monitor core to remote network equipment.
• Monitor circuits daily for anomalies that may cause outages.
• Provide network support for all client programs.

Responsibilities

The network engineer is responsible for supporting the agency's network operation, security, maintenance and collaboration with other agency departments and external organizations to provide a secure and effective network solution. This would include responding to remote site circuit outages, router/switch/firewall issues, configuring and monitoring core to remote network equipment and similar tasks. The network engineer also monitors the circuits daily to check for anomalies that may cause outages. This role also assists in providing any network support for all programs used in all client.
