Job Description:

Our work depends on Cisco ACI Engineer joining our team to provide engineering and O&M support maintaining USCENTCOM’s Datacenter Architecture.

HOW A CISCO ACI ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  1. Work alongside Network and System Engineers responsible for providing datacenter services throughout USCENTCOM to achieve mission requirements. This entails deploying new hardware/software, services, and maintaining and upgrading current servers and services.
  2. Accurately analyze datacenter architectures, workflows, problems, and procedures to identify relevant concerns and factors.
  3. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with multiple work centers and clients within USCENTCOM, and collaborate with other DoD agencies, information services teams, contract and government management, and IT staff.
  4. Work with Network and System teams to resolve service outages, including routing, switching, cabling, micro-segmentation, and network gear for LAN and servers in physical and virtualized environments.
  5. Be a member of the USCENTCOM Network Operations team and collaborate with other IT verticals within USCENTCOM and partners.
  6. Build and operate data center network fabrics, troubleshoot large networks, and have a background in VMWare, NSX, and Hypervisor platforms. Experience with IT Service Management and Highly Reliability Organizations is a plus.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Typically 4 years recent relevant experience deploying Cisco ACI fabrics.
  • Required Experience: 3-5 years hands-on datacenter experience with Cisco ACI and VMWare (VDS and NSX).
  • Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of Data Center Network infrastructure including Nexus switches, Cisco ACI, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS), Ethernet switching, troubleshooting complex networks, and familiarity with ACI Policy Model. Experience with Cisco Tetration, Cisco Secure Workload, and deploying Cisco Dashboard Fabric Controller is preferred.
Security Clearance Level:

SECRET clearance required, with potential to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize work, work independently, and collaborate across teams in dynamic environments.
