Job summary

Labette Health is seeking a Circulator RN to join our Surgical Services team. The Circulator will coordinate perioperative activities, ensure patient safety, and support the operating room during procedures. Day shift with rotating call requirements.

Must be a Registered Nurse with a KS license and BLS. At least 1 year in perioperative or surgical nursing preferred; new graduates will be trained. Join our award-winning team delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with KS state nursing license.
• Minimum 1 year of perioperative or surgical nursing experience; willing to train new graduates.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure.
• Monitor patient status and provide intraoperative assistance.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure instruments and supplies are ready and functioning.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure timely delivery of instruments and supplies.
• Assist with preparing and setting up the operating room.
• Document patient care and surgical details in medical records.
• Monitor patient progress during the surgery and communicate with the team.
• Assist in managing emergencies or complications during surgery.
• Provide immediate support in crisis situations.
