Job summary

Harford County Public Library’s Darlington branch is seeking a Library Assistant II – Circulation. You will check materials in/out, register borrowers, and explain policies to patrons in a welcoming environment.

The role supports public service hours and requires a high school diploma or GED with 6+ months of related experience. Evening and weekend shifts are included. Starting wage ranges with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six (6) months of related experience preferred.
• Ability to work day, evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Check materials in and out.
• Answer phones and greet customers.
• Register customers for library cards.
• Explain library policies and procedures to users.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts; process fines/fees.
• Operate cash register and payment devices.
