Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Process Operator to run computer-controlled process equipment, cooker, and related systems.

Responsibilities include overseeing rendering from raw material bin to finished goods storage and maintaining cooker temperature, flow, and safety procedures. The role requires basic qualifications in manufacturing environments with emphasis on safety and adherence to the company’s food safety program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storage.
• Maintain steady flow of material to cooker.
• Maintain cooker temperature, rate, and steam at peak operating levels.
• Monitor evaporation rate to maintain rate per hour according to requirements.
• Control flow of material to presses and to finished goods storage.
• Monitor control panel and gauges to manage process.
• Operate pollution control system including air/odor and wastewater controls.
• Responsible for boiler start up and operation.
• Perform periodic preventative maintenance on all process equipment.
• Ensure work area is clean and safe; uphold safety as top priority.
