Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Avionics Circuit Design Engineer to develop state-of-the-art electronic products in a world-class Integrated Product Development environment. You will design and integrate circuits for flight-ready hardware while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This role requires 5+ years of experience in digital/analog circuit design, experience with Xpedition, PSPICE or Saber, and US citizenship with DoD Secret clearance eligibility.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time.

What does this role look like?

This is an Avionics Circuit Design Engineer role where you will work on the development, integration, and production of a sophisticated state‑of‑the‑art electronics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Design/Capture electrical schematics and guide the board layouts.
• Collaborate with Printed Wiring Board, Guidance, Navigation & Control, FPGA, and Special Test Equipment teams to construct and checkout this hardware.
• Design and prepare the checkout and test procedures to bring this hardware product to Acceptance and Qualification, ensuring the product meets customer requirements and ready for flight.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

• Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
• Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.
• Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers.
• Experience in presentations and in written communication skills.
• Missile design experience.
• 5+ years professional experience.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Designs and develops circuits used in electronic devices. Responsible for layout and mask design, device evaluation and characterization, test box design, prototype construction and checkout, and determination of wafer fabrication processes. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests; provides finished device approval; and prepares customer application information.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with design of digital or analog circuits.
• Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis).
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills

• Experience with a combination of design, test, operations and systems engineering disciplines.
• Experience in schematic capture using Xpedition or similar tools.
• Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation tool experience.
• Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis).
• Experience performing failure Investigation on electronic hardware (CCA, Unit, and System Level).
• Demonstrated good communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members.
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self‑initiative in solving complex problems.
• Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Pay Information

Full‑Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00
