Job summary

Lockheed Martin in the United States (Colorado area) is seeking a Circuit Design Electrical Engineer to join the LE2 Tactical Avionics team for the FBM program. You will design circuits, simulate with PSPICE/Saber, and produce tests and reports for hardware that meets stringent aerospace requirements.

This role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance, with a 9x80 schedule and on-site work near a LM Space facility.

  • Experience in electronics design with emphasis on CCA design.

Introduction

We are looking for a creative Circuit Design Electrical Engineer to join an exciting and dynamic team in developing complex electrical designs for a new, state-of-the-art generation of Avionics.

Location

You will need to live within 50 miles of a Lockheed Martin Space facility and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule.

What does this role look like?

The FBM Program is undergoing tremendous growth, and we need your expertise to deliver critical novel technologies to our customers while maintaining the stringent technical requirements for strategic deterrence. The Circuit Design Engineer Sr role is an individual contributor on the LE2 – Tactical Avionics - Flight Control Electronics (TAV-FCE) team supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program. You will capture requirements, design/analyze circuits, create tests, reports and other deliverable data products. Work is performed in close collaboration with other senior engineers and is focused on delivering hardware deliverables on schedule. This role blends electrical‑hardware design, system integration, and development in a fast‑paced, mission‑oriented environment.

Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role
  • Design circuits, perform electrical simulations and capture schematics
  • Perform electrical Worst-Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis
  • Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world‑class avionics systems
  • Create test plans, procedures and reports
  • Support all stages of Product Certification
  • Support component, package, sub‑system and system‑level testing
To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need
  • Experience designing analog electrical circuits to meet system requirements
  • Proficiency in Control Theory Fundamentals and Applications
  • Experience in different phases of the aerospace hardware development cycle
  • 3+ years of related professional experience
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen

Designs and develops circuits used in electronic devices. Responsible for layout and mask design, device evaluation and characterization, test box design, prototype construction and checkout, and determination of wafer fabrication processes. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests; provides finished device approval; and prepares customer application information.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience in electronics design, with a focus on CCA design and development.
  • Experience as a technical lead or responsible engineer.
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; US Citizenship.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in Missile or Space Avionics circuit design.
  • Missile design experience.
  • Full program/product life-cycle experience.
  • Experience in ASIC/FPGA development.
  • Flight and/or Motor Controls experience.
  • Experience with design for manufacture and test.
  • Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation tool experience.
  • Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis).
  • Demonstrated good communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00
