Apple Inc. in our Silicon Engineering Group seeks highly motivated engineers to join our team.

You will be part of an exciting silicon design group and help build state-of-the-art ASICs, collaborating with disciplines and driving impactful work that reaches millions of customers. In this role you will develop custom circuits to improve power efficiency, define specifications with power teams and architects, perform design and spice verification across PVT, and work with layout to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience in design of low voltage custom circuits circuit
• Good understanding of deep submicron device physics, leakage mechanisms, technology interactions with device behavior
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python /Perl or others) and CAD automation tools.
• Knowledge of industry standard circuit simulation and design tools
• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop custom circuits to improve chip power efficiency.
• Work with power team, PD and architects to define specifications and requirements.
• Perform design, analysis, modeling/simulation, circuit level specifications, schematic capture, spice simulation / margin verification across PVT, statistical design, functional verification and silicon bring up.
• Work closely with layout team to complete the design and oversee the layout quality.
• Develop / drive circuit methodology to achieve the highest design quality metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

• - Experience in one or multiple of the following areas is highly desirable: Machine learning accelerators, SRAM circuits, non- volatile memories, weak / moderate inversion circuits, ultra-low power amplifiers, DC/DC converters, digital on-chip sensors, high speed clocking, time to digital converters (TDCs).

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,600 and $218,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
