Description

SUMMARY:

The Circling Raven Golf Course Retail Sales Associate will provide assistance to guests during the check in process including scheduling tee times and assisting with retail sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet and greet guests in a dynamic and professional manner.
  • Register guests for play using computerized POS system.
  • Assist guests in purchasing golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
  • Answer phone calls and provide information about facilities, entertainment options, and rules and regulations or make reservations as appropriate.
  • Communicate needed guest services with outside service staff.
  • Receive, arrange, straighten, and maintain displays of golf shop merchandise as needed.
    Monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures to protect environment and maintain order.
  • Record details of attendance, sales, receipts, and reservations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and merchandise floor.
  • Assist Assistant Pros with their programs in forms of registration, answering questions, and supporting during the days of the events.
  • Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot golf simulator systems
  • Ensure simulator equipment, software, and related systems are operational and updated.
  • Maintain and calibrate simulator sensors, projectors, and computers as necessary.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Six months previous golf course front counter and retail sales experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Must be highly proficient operating POS systems.
  • Typing speed of 40 WPM preferred.
  • Strong cashiering skills required.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Must be skilled at managing conflict and influencing outcomes.
  • Must be skilled at multi-tasking.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required; strong written communication skills preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills preferred.
  • Must have basic problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the theory of progressive discipline.
  • Ability to guide and coach a team preferred.
