Our Global Technology Solutions group is looking for a Senior Systems & Software Engineer to lead and collaborate with portfolio teams across all lines of business (LOBs). The role involves supporting a framework that combines engineering and application development to drive operational stability. The ideal candidate will work with core teams to enhance software practices and engineering to improve enterprise logging and operational support. Advanced knowledge of system architecture, networks, Centralized Logging (ELK), and operational stability is essential to transform team operations.

Requirements include five or more years of experience as a Full stack Linux Systems / Elastic & Application Support Engineer.

Elastic Certified Engineer preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL / CentOS) systems administration and troubleshooting applications on these systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack tools (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring and managing critical applications and infrastructure.
  • Experience in security, maintenance, optimization, documentation, design, data analytics, and visualization.
  • Ability to provide work breakdowns and estimates for new requirements, applying best practices for cluster management, scaling, and capacity planning.
  • Experience creating and managing Elasticsearch clusters, including configuration, indexing, performance tuning, security governance, and administration.
  • Designing and configuring ETL data pipelines using Elastic Common Schema for onboarding logs and metrics.
  • Configuring index templates and data lifecycle management (ILM) for data retention.
  • Designing solutions for centralized logs, infrastructure and health metrics, distributed tracing, and creating dashboards for KPIs.
  • Scripting and programming skills in Python, Ansible, Bash, regex, etc.
  • Knowledge of ToClientat, MySQL, Nginx, HAProxy.
  • Experience with security hardening, vulnerability management, OS patching, SSL, SSO, LDAP.
  • Understanding of high-availability design, cross-site replication, load balancers.
  • Experience with data ingestion/enrichment via webhooks and REST APIs using JSON, YAML, XML, and testing tools like Postman.
  • Strong skills in performance monitoring, metrics, capacity planning, and management.
  • Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA.
  • Creative problem-solving, ownership, and effective communication skills, with ability to articulate technical details to diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating documentation such as runbooks, support procedures, user onboarding materials.
  • Experience with application onboarding, understanding data sources, architecture diagrams, and relationships.
  • Ability to influence teams to adopt logging best practices.
