Indoor Science, an Aftermath Services company, is seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist to join our Chicagoland team in IL. This full-time role involves leading indoor air quality investigations, asbestos, lead, and mold projects, with travel 50% or more and direct client interaction.

You will design sampling plans, interpret results, and produce client-ready reports, while mentoring junior staff and signing off on technical work.

Qualifications

Active CIH strongly preferred; if exam in progress, we want to hear from you.
Illinois Asbestos Inspector and Air Sampling licenses or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
A degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational/Environmental Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
Comfort with the consulting side of the work — talking to clients, scoping projects, and building relationships.
Willingness to travel regionally (50%+) and be based in the Chicagoland area.

Responsabilités

Conduct field investigations for indoor air quality, mold/moisture intrusion, asbestos, and lead across diverse sites.
Design sampling strategies, interpret results, and write clear, client-ready reports.
Work directly with clients — property owners, facility managers, contractors, and insurers — as a trusted technical advisor.
Tackle unique projects requiring creative problem solving beyond checklists.
Sign off on technical work performed by junior team members.
