How You Will Contribute:

Reporting to Director – IT Applications, as the Senior Analyst, IT Applications, you will partner with Supply Chain business users globally to implement or enhance Procurement and distribution capabilities to meet business needs. You will also work on Oracle as well as non-Oracle products in Ciena’s Procurement and distribution landscape.

You will lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable solutions in Procurement and distribution using Oracle Order management, warehouse management, Procurement and inventory capabilities and lead the identification of opportunities for improvement.

Working with internal and external stakeholders including Procurement and distribution business Users, external implementation team, AMS Partner, Product team, Ciena PMO Teams and internal IT Teams, you will drive projects in Procurement and distribution.

Responsible for high and low-level design, development, testing and implementation for application solution sets within the procurement applications and processes (Direct and Indirect Procurement, Purchasing, iProcurement, isupplier, Accounts Payable, Sourcing & SLM).

Provide technical guidance and business functional consultation to internal and external technical teams on the overall solution approach, including technical validation of the approach during solution fit-gap analysis.

You will interact with the business and work with multi-location teams to plan the activities required to meet project deadlines.

You will oversee AMS support for Procurement inventory configurations, WMS and Work in process and peripheral logistics management systems, troubleshooting issues. Identifying root causes and debugging & delivering robust timely fixes in case of urgent shipping issues.

You will design Supply Chain with Oracle R12 & legacy applications.

Work directly with the business team to identify business needs and requirements, scope work effort, develop and implement solutions, and support business process changes.

The Must Haves:

Bachelor in Engineering / MBA, coupled with extensive experience in Cloud Procurement, Oracle WMS, I-supplier, I-procurement and Inventory modules within EBS.

Demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process.

Extensive global large-scale Procurement, WMS and Inventory implementation knowledge.

Experience working on enhancement projects using Agile methodology.

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide support on top priority issues.

Proven understanding of Supply Chain Interfaces / business object translation, data mapping, Transmission Management and related functionality in Procurement, WMS, I-Supplier & I-Procurement.

Well-versed with the Cloud integration architecture and Oracle Applications Architecture in R12 and Cloud Fusion.
