Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Cardiac ICU (CICU). The CICU has 12 beds and nurses use the nursing process to guide care, while participating in Sentara's Medical Response Team.

Requirements include a BSN or MSN, Virginia RN license (or compact), BLS within 90 days, ACLS within 1 year, and a minimum of 18 months RN experience. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• BSN required or MSN certification/licensure
• Virginia RN license or compact/multi-state eligible
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• RN experience: 18 months minimum

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process.
• Care for CICU patients including cardiac non-surgical cases and ICU-level needs.
• Collaborate with Medical Response Team and multidisciplinary staff.
• Demonstrate professional performance in ethics, communication, and leadership.

Education
