Job summary

Baptist Health's Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care ICU (CICU) to lead the nursing team on shift and ensure continuity of patient care.

The RN will perform assessments, plan and implement care, work with physicians, and may take on additional duties as assigned; requires BSN preferred and active RN license with BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required, BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required, BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending on area.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities include observation, assessment, communication, teamwork and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, planning and interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
• May have additional duties within scope of role.
