Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking an MQ Administrator / CICS Systems Programmer to join the Enterprise System Support CICS/MQ group in New Jersey. The role focuses on MQSeries and CICS administration across platforms, with on-going upgrades, performance tuning, and on-call support.

You will work closely with vendors and application teams to ensure system reliability while maintaining external MQ connections and implementing enhanced monitoring solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience supporting MQSeries and CICS on z/OS.
• Experience with MQSeries on MQ Appliance, distributed and mainframe z/OS.
• Experience with MQSeries monitoring and reporting tools.
• Experience with scripting to automate tasks, reporting and alerting.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Websphere for z/OS using Installation Manager is a plus.
• Experience with Compuware and Omegamon/Tivoli products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform administration, configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrades.
• Monitor systems, address issues, and resolve problems.
• Work with vendors to resolve product issues.
• Apply maintenance and upgrades on a regular basis.
• Support application programming groups with inquiries and resource requests.
• Set up and maintain external MQSeries connections.
