Job summary

The Northern Trust Company is seeking a Lead, Client Identity & Access Management (CIAM) Risk & Audit to strengthen risk management, governance, and control activities across the client identity ecosystem. You will lead audit readiness, risk assessments, and remediation programs while partnering with cyber security, risk, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5–8 years in cyber security, CIAM, risk, audit, or compliance.
• Experience supporting or leading audit, compliance, and risk activities.
• Understanding CIAM concepts and controls.
• Experience with client authentication, onboarding, or access management controls.
• Ability to assess risks, analyze control effectiveness, and support remediation.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead CIAM risk and control activities and identify remediation opportunities.
• Oversee CIAM audit readiness and coordinate internal/external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Support CIAM governance programs, policies, and control documentation.
• Develop and maintain risk, compliance, and audit reporting with dashboards and KPIs.
• Collaborate with CIAM and engineering teams to strengthen client identity controls.
