Job summary

Slate is seeking a Plant CI-Q Excellence Group Leader to advance QMS, QOS and PMT across the quality function, IT, and suppliers.

You will lead ISO and IATF audits, monitor quality performance, and mentor teams to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced startup environment. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of quality experience and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of related quality experience with a Bachelor's degree; 6 years for a Master's; 3 years for a PhD or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
  • Experience integrating QMS/QOS with PLM, MES and ERP systems.
  • Auditor experience in VDA, ISO or IATF is preferred.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team for Q-Excellence, QMS, QOS, and PMT to develop and rollout quality systems.
  • Coordinate requirements, user feedback, and best practices for QMS and QOS.
  • Collaborate with IT heads and external vendors to ensure reliability, security, and compliance.
  • Support supplier and manufacturing quality and integration processes.
  • Lead audits and certifications for ISO and IATF.
  • Monitor quality systems performance and address issues.
  • Coach and train quality system users.
  • Support data mining and analysis for data accuracy.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and Process Management Tools (PMT) to achieve the highest standards of product quality and operational excellence. You will also lead our quality excellence mindset initiative. You will provide unequivocal support, and in some cases lead, the implementation and business maintenance of the quality systems (QMS and QOS) and related quality tools and systems for Slate. You will work closely with all quality functions (Manufacturing and Supplier Quality), IT, other business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure that the QMS and QOS meet business requirements and standards. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.**| WHAT YOU GET TO DO:*** Lead a team of experts in Q-Excellence, QMS, QOS, and PMT for quality systems development, integration and rollout for Slate, aligning with the business objectives and priorities.* Lead the team for quality systems from startup, integration, validation, training, support, to continuous improvement.* Coordinate the requirements, user feedback, and best practices for our QMS and QOS systems, ensuring that they meet the needs and expectations of the internal and external stakeholders.* Collaborate with IT functional heads, other functional heads and external vendors to ensure the quality system is and remains reliable, secure, scalable, and compliant with the policies and standards.* Support the supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and integration processes for the QMS/ QOS, ensuring that they are consistent, efficient, and effective.* Lead auditing and certification activities for ISO and IATF for Slate* Assist in auditing activities at supplier as required to support the success of the organization* Monitor and report on the quality systems performance, quality, and compliance, identifying and resolving any issues or risks.* Provide guidance, coaching and training to quality systems users, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.* Support data mining and analysis activities to streamline Slate’s data accuracy and management, particularly related to quality.* Supports the implementation of relevant corrective actions, preventive actions and activities in striving for excellence.* Supports and contributes to service requests regarding management system, processes, methods and tools as well as for training.* Support/ lead special projects driving CI and Excellence relative to data collection and analysis.* Support definition of quality systems relative to processes, methods and tools in collaboration with quality and cross-functional teams.* Define and lead a team for our QOS and Q-Excellence programs.**| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:**The role will be expected to have the highest integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness and strive to exhibit a positive, growth and quality mindset.
