Job summary

Adient in Normal, IL is seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Process Manager to lead plant-wide initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence to boost safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost performance.

You will guide strategy, host Kaizen events, map value streams, and coach leaders in problem-solving, developing standard work and sustainment practices across functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Strong project management, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, change management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement strategy and roadmap for the plant.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Drive KPI improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost.
  • Coach leaders and employees on Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase productivity and reduce operating costs.
  • Develop standard work and sustainment processes to ensure long-term results.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR teams.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate results to leadership.
  • ODS update.
  • Implement process change supported by Material, launch, OPS, Maintenance.

Salary Range: $106,700-$178,000

Department: C.I. & Process Manager

Reports to: Plant Manager

Position Summary

The Continuous Improvement Manager leads plant-wide initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead continuous improvement strategy and roadmap for the plant.
