Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a senior developer to join the Developer Infrastructure team, focusing on the CI+Build platform. The role involves designing scalable workflow orchestration for AI-assisted software development and owning key platform components from scheduling to observability.

You will work with experienced engineers to modernize scheduling, queuing, caching, and fault tolerance, enabling faster iterations and safer canary deployments across CI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.
• Interest in distributed systems engineering and optimization problems.
• General knowledge of k8s, EC2, Golang, Docker.
• Metrics-driven approach to decision‑making, with an interest in delivering quantifiable impact.

Responsibilities

• Experimentation and prototyping new features in a remote sandbox development environment for CI workflows.
• Debugging workflow orchestration queueing delays and measuring remote execution/cache performance.
• Identifying root causes of infrastructure‑related test flakiness in CI.
• Optimizing the speed of autoscaling CI workers during workload bursts.
• Up‑leveling observability and alerting of the CI platform across build systems.
• Building an improved canarying mechanism to rollout changes safely.
