Job summary

Esri is seeking a Software Development Engineer II focused on CI/CD and platform automation in St. Louis, MO. You will design and implement tools, pipelines, and automation frameworks enabling reliable, secure software delivery across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines).
• Experience with YAML-based pipelines and infrastructure definitions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-speed CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native workflows and on-premises build automation.
• Architect and optimize Docker environments for reproducible build/test runners.
• Lead design of Python package creation, manage Conda recipes and environments for ArcGIS API distribution.
• Build and manage underlying build infrastructure (runners, nodes, registries) with automated provisioning.
• Implement automated security gatekeeping including SBOMs, vulnerability scanning, and license compliance.
• Design and implement monitoring for build performance and automate load/perf testing of Python stack.
• Eliminate manual bottlenecks by moving to everything-as-code workflows.
• Oversee lifecycle of third-party dependencies to ensure secure supply chain.
