Job summary

Neuralink is looking for a Software Engineer specializing in CI/CD to integrate closely with various teams. This role involves designing and scaling the CI/CD platform for delivering products across multiple verticals such as Brain Implant and Surgical Robotics. Key qualifications include deep experience with Bazel, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in UNIX systems and familiarity with Nix for reproducible environments. This position is key to reducing developer cycle times and improving pipeline reliability.

Qualifications

• Deep experience operating Bazel, or similar hermetic build systems.
• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes.
• Production experience with GitLab CI including pipeline architecture and integrations.
• Expertise in operating UNIX systems, including Linux and Mac.
• Familiarity with Nix for reproducible environments.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with teams across the company for deployment and custom tooling.
• Design and scale CI/CD platform for safe and quick shipping.
• Own and maintain software/firmware build tooling at scale.
• Operate and scale a runner fleet across multiple hardware platforms.
• Maintain reproducible build environments with Nix.
• Instrument CI health using Prometheus and Grafana.
