Job summary

Fogo de Chão is seeking a Gaucho Chef to craft traditional churrasco cuts, grill meats to guest specifications, and present dishes with authentic gaucho flair. You will be part of a team delivering a Brazilian dining experience with attention to hospitality and accuracy in preparation.

Responsibilities include cooking beef and other meats, maintaining grill cleanliness, and assisting with opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• Essential duties include preparing and cooking special cuts of beef and other meats using traditional churrasco methods.
• Season and grill according to prescribed method and guests' requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of grill area and handle beginning/closing shift duties.

Now Hiring / Immediately Hiring: Gaucho Chef

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to traditional Brazilian “churrasco” recipes.
• Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional method and to guests’ specific requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to patron in style of Brazilian “gaucho.”
• Answer guests’ questions concerning “churrasco"-style food and represent and convey Brazilian “gaucho” culture and demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.

Requirements

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work at a quick pace.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

• Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance are available for full-time, hourly Team Members on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
