Job summary

The Assistant Facilities Manager at Christ Church in Glen Allen, Virginia, will maintain the order, function and cleanliness of the church facilities. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with pay of $20-23 per hour and non-exempt status.

This role supports services and community programs with hands-on maintenance and cleaning. Responsibilities include set-up before and clean-up after services, basic maintenance, and upkeep of restrooms, kitchens, and public areas, while

• Basic mechanical skills to work with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Experience cleaning public/institutional spaces.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service.
• Flexibility to handle unplanned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all buildings in a clean and orderly fashion, including restrooms and kitchens and floors.
• Set up before and clean up after services, functions, and meetings.
• Inspect facilities and equipment; perform planned maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and tools in kitchens, restrooms and other areas.
• Keep sidewalks and walkways clear, including days of snow or inclement weather.
• Maintain security, closing and locking windows and doors and perimeter checks.
