Job summary

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Naperville, IL seeks a Maintenance Lead to oversee the maintenance, safety, security, and stewardship of church facilities, a thriving preschool, and campus grounds, supporting worship, ministry, and community engagement.

Reporting to the Operations Executive Director, the Maintenance Lead will supervise staff and volunteers, manage budgets and contracts, coordinate building use, and ensure building safety and code compliance to create welcoming spaces for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of building maintenance experience.
• Experience in church or nonprofit facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, safety, security, and stewardship of church facilities, preschool, and campus grounds.
• Coordinate with leadership to obtain and monitor repair contracts and capital improvements.
• Supervise staff and volunteers, recruit, train, schedule, and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop and administer a Facilities and Maintenance budget.
• Ensure building safety, code compliance, and effective facility operations.
