Job summary

Our Lady Queen of Peace in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking a Facilities/Ground Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on parish buildings, grounds, and vehicles, ensuring safety for staff and visitors. You will inspect facilities daily, perform cleaning, minor repairs, and coordinate third-party contracts with the Pastor and Business Manager.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
1–3 years of work experience in facilities maintenance or related field preferred.
Vocational/Technical Training is a plus.
Knowledge of basic Catholic teachings is beneficial for parish environments.

Responsibilities

Maintain parish buildings, equipment, grounds, parking areas and vehicles.
Inspect facilities daily for safety, perform preventive maintenance and cleaning tasks.
Carry out minor repairs to electrical fixtures, switches, and other equipment.
Coordinate with Pastor and Business Manager to arrange third‑party maintenance and custodial work.
Ensure secure storage and restock of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Oversee seasonal maintenance of HVAC systems and organiZe vehicle maintenance and inspections.
Assist with room setup/teardown and coordinate with staff for events.
Respond to emergencies outside normal hours and support security measures.
