Job summary

International Mission Board (IMB) is seeking a Church Engagement Associate to strengthen relationships with local churches in pursuit of the Great Commission. The role is based in Richmond, VA and is full-time with a hybrid schedule.

You will develop engagement plans, build relationships with pastors and staff, and help churches align their vision with IMB’s global strategy. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree (preferred), at least 3 years in church engagement or related ministry, and

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of ministry, church engagement, mobilization, or customer relationship experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Dynamics.
• Active membership in a Southern Baptist Convention church; strong Great Commission focus.

Responsibilities

• Coach churches on utilizing IMB resources effectively.
• Coordinate missionary speaker opportunities for churches and events.
• Partner with IMB teams to advance engagement strategies.
• Contribute to a unified church partnership experience.
• Maintain records of church interactions and key metrics.

• Guide churches through opportunities to serve alongside IMB teams.

• Identify strategic partnership opportunities between churches and field teams.
• Promote IMB prayer initiatives, training resources, and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
• Coach churches on effectively utilizing available IMB resources.
• Coordinate missionary speaker opportunities for churches, campuses, and events.
• Partner with Church Engagement and broader IMB teams to advance organizational engagement strategies.
• Contribute to a unified and consistent church partnership experience.
• Maintain accurate records of church interactions, partnership activities, and key metrics.
• Support organizational reporting and engagement tracking effort.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferred
• At least 3 years of related ministry, church engagement, mobilization, or customer relationship experience.
• Previous IMB field service experience, preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Dynamics
• Active membership in a Southern Baptist Convention church
• Strong commitment to IMB's mission and Great Commission focus.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with pastors, church leaders, and ministry partners.
• Experience working collaboratively across teams and departments.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Active membership in a Southern Baptist Convention church.
