Job summary

Deseret Book in Orem, UT is hiring a part-time Retail Associate to sell LDS Church curriculum and clothing in a friendly store setting. You will help customers with fitting and product usage, operate registers, and keep the store organized.

Flexible availability for 20–29 hours/week is required, including some days, evenings, and Saturdays. Starting date is immediate with benefits such as a 401(k) and employee discounts.

Description

• Sell LDS Church curriculum and clothing products in a retail store environment
• Assist customers with proper fit and usage of clothing items and other related products
• Exhibit world-class sales and customer service skills
• Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, gift-wrapping, etc.
• Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation
• Schedule may include a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and Saturdays

Required Skills

• BFOQ - Must be a female who has received her own personal endowments and possesses a current temple recommend
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Knowledge of LDS Church curriculum and clothing products preferred
• Computer and cashiering skills preferred
• Ability to resolve routine customer problems and negotiate effective solutions
• Flexible to work various shifts including mornings, evenings and Saturdays
• Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates
