Job summary

SGS, a global leader in inspection, testing and certification, seeks an Analyst II in Chemistry Laboratory (Chromatography) in Lincolnshire, IL. This full-time role analyzes organic and inorganic substances for consumer product testing, performing routine preparation, extraction and digestion with instrumentation under SOPs.

Requires Associate or Bachelor degree in chemistry and 5+ years in chromatography, plus 2+ years in chromatography.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline.
5+ years of laboratory experience in chromatography.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline.
2+ years of chromatography experience.

Responsibilities

Conducts routine and moderate analytical studies of samples following SOPs.
Prepares and files reports on client tests, calibrations and validations.
Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.
Develops and validates analytical methods and SOPs for method development and transfer.
Provides technical training and support to Analysts in data analysis.
Manages multiple projects and maintains Laboratory Notebook.
