Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Line/Prep Cook for Geordie's Restaurant & Lounge. You will join a dynamic culinary team that values teamwork, creativity, and exceptional food quality.

We look for candidates who are personally accountable, problem solvers, excellent at time management, coachable, and people-oriented. Previous kitchen experience and a food handler’s card are a plus; willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and preparation of meals according to recipes and dietary requirements.
  • Cook food items using various cooking methods such as baking, grilling, and sautéing.
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as knives, ovens, and grills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Have experience in restaurants and have (or willing to obtain) a food handler’s card.
  • Must have the capability to bend, stretch, and reach for objects. Ability to frequently use stairs, handle or move boxes of product/supplies, push/pull, reach, squat, kneel, ascend/descend, bend and/or twist.
  • Should be able to constantly communicate and have visual acuity near and far.
  • Assist with events as needed.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
